The staff at Oaklawn Elementary is very appreciative of the support demonstrated by our families during the recent National Educator Appreciation Week. The Oaklawn PTO orchestrated a week long feast of lunches, as well as some breakfast treats. We were overwhelmed by the donations of families. Many donations were accompanied by cards, thank you notes and flowers.
At a time when discussions about public education at the national and state level are not always positive, not constructive, it was a reassuring expression of gratitude and appreciation to our staff.
